Röbäcksdalen
Encouraged by the results in a small trial orchard in 2014 Brännland Iscider planted more than a 1000 trees at Röbäcksdalen in 2016. The orchard was financed through crowd funding and agricultural support from the EU.55 apple varieties are continuously evaluated for suitability in terms of climate resilience and wine production. Ice cider from the fruit at Röbäcksdalen has been produced since 2020.
Svettåker
Svettåker orchard, established in 2024 in collaboration with Carl Wikströms stiftelse and EIP-agri, trials the idea of establishing an apple orchard as part of a forestry eco-system.

Projects
Project: Commercial and productive apple growing in a northern climate.
In 2020 Brännland Iscider started the establishment of ten hectares of orchards in northern Sweden funded by the European Union fund for innovation and productivity in agriculture, EIP-agri. When the project came to an end in 2024 around 20 growers had planted apple trees in suitable microclimates between the 60th and 65th latitude north.

In 2023 Brännland Iscider was granted funds from the EU through the Swedish Agricultural Agency to research and suggest and appellation system for Swedish ciders and grapewines. The project is led by Mischa Billing and the University of Örebro and runs until February 2025.
Brännland Iscider invests in the production and development of Swedish ice cider with support from the European Union Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the European Union Fund for Innovation and Productivity in Agriculture.
